Confidentiality Policy


Requirements for employees and subcontractors
All information received or made available to the Horus Cert Certification Body, employees, subcontractors or committee members (in whatever form) received during the conduct of audit activities, during other accreditation activities, or during any dealings with an organization for any reason Another thing to take into consideration. As strictly confidential and may not be disclosed to any third party (unless specified in ISO 17021-1:2015) without the express permission of the organization or individual concerned. The requirement to keep any information confidential will also extend to any organization that has a legitimate right to audit or inspect Horus Cert's accreditation.
Where Horus Cert is required by law to disclose confidential information to a third party, the customer or individual concerned must be notified in advance of the information provided, unless regulated by law.
However, where an organization is perceived to be operating in contravention of legal requirements or has operating practices that pose a risk to employees, customers or the environment, the Horus Cert Accreditation Body reserves the right to immediately report any such incident to the appropriate authority. No such report will be conducted except with the permission of the Director General.
Access to records
All records will be kept in a secure manner and are only accessible to authorized personnel via either paper records or password controlled electronic records. Subcontractors will be limited to the information they produce when conducting the audit. Records will only be available to organizations that can demonstrate a legitimate (and legal) right to view those records and specifically to accreditation bodies. For example, EGAC
Confidentiality statements
All employees, subcontractors, general managers and committee members will be required to agree to the Horus Cert Accreditation and Confidentiality Policy and sign a confidentiality agreement. Subcontractors will also sign an agreement that also includes the responsibility to maintain confidentiality.

HORAS aims to promote and encourage environmental awareness & responsibility and help to continuously improve certification management issues within industry, commerce and the public domain.

We understand the importance of impartiality in carrying out our management system certification activities, manage conflict of interest and ensure the objectivity of our management system certification activities.

We wish to achieve our aims as a major international accredited certification body and recognize that effective management of our customers, our staff, our certification process and our business results makes good business sense. It will be a fundamental and integral part of our business.

We will achieve this by:-

- Offering an international & national certification service in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 that is fair impartial and objective to all who wish to avail themselves of Our service,

-  Providing our customers with a professional service that is perceived to add value to their business and satisfy their expectations,

- Practicing sound certification principles through competent staff and overseas Managing Agents      And Agents, caring for and valuing our staff,

-  brief and train our staff to deliver Audits that satisfy our customers, supervisory body and the standard we set,

- developing an open exchange of information with organizations and the public on the certification service that we offer,

- Continuously improving the certification service, we offer,

-  practicing sound business principles to manage the certification body and give a return on our share-holders investment,

-  communicating this policy to our staff, customers and interested parties.

We want to achieve our goals as a major, internationally accredited national certifier for quality, and we recognize that effectively managing our customers, our employees, our certification process and our business results makes good business sense. It will be an essential and integral part of our business strategy.

Providing an international accreditation service in accordance with ISO 17021-1:2015 that is characterized by integrity and objectivity to all those wishing to benefit from our services,

Records of approved customers and previously approved customers must be maintained for the duration of the current cycle plus one full certification cycle
